Y Basketball is designed to teach the basic skills of basketball to people who have never played the game and improve the skills of those who have. The focus will be on ball control, shooting techniques, offensive and defensive tactics, rules and regulations of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play for all. YMCA's core values will be emphasized throughout the season.  Games may be played at various other YMCA locations depending on the number of registrations.

Ages 3-5 will practice prior to their game to promote cognitive learning skills.

Ages 5+ will practice for one hour during the week followed by a Saturday game day.

Teams will be split up based on practice availability, teammate/coach request, skill level, and age.

Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on 1/11/2025 at the Blocker Norfolk YMCA gym.

Practices and games will be played at the Blocker Norfolk YMCA gym.

Practice and Game schedules can be accessed through your Manage YMCA Account and will be finalized the week of the Meet & Greet.
