YMCA Recreational Basketball Leagues (Ages 3 to 9)
Y Recreation Basketball is a volunteer-coached program designed to teach ages 3 to 9 the basic skills of basketball to children of all skill levels. The focus will be on the fundamentals of basketball, the rules, and regulations of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play for all. YMCA's core values will be emphasized throughout the season.
Games may be played at various other YMCA locations depending upon number of registrations.
Ages 3-5 will practice prior to their game to promote cognitive learning skills.
Ages 5+ will practice for one hour during the week followed by a Saturday game day.
Teams will be split up based on practice availability, teammate/coach request, skill level, and age.
Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on Saturday, 6/1/2024 at the Greenbrier Family YMCA Gym.
The practice and game locations will be at the Greenbrier Family & Greenbrier North YMCA Gyms.
Practice and Game schedules can be accessed through your Manage YMCA Account and will be finalized the week of the Meet & Greet.
