Advanced Swimmer - proficiency in the 4 competitive strokes with the intention to compete
This group is for age-group level swimmers and is a competitive group designed for Middle School and High School swimmers with proficiency in all 4 competitive strokes with an intention to compete. Increased attendance at meets is also required.
-Swimmers with a focus on mastering the 4 competitive strokes as well as starts and turns.
-Swimmers will be introduced to aerobic maintenance, speed, and racing strategies.
-Swimmers are expected to utilize the pace clock to be self-reliant during workouts.

Monthly fee, Practice Tue/Wed/Thu 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. Maintain a 75% attendance rate (3 out of every 4 practices) each month
(Regular attendance at practices and meets will be required to be considered for promotion to the Silver group).
Must attend a minimum of 4 swim meets per season with at least 3 being YMCA meets.
Minimum age: 11 (or pending coach approval).
Ability to listen and follow a simple set of instructions including interval training.
Ability to handle regular practice routines including dry land sessions.
