Y Recreation Flag Football is a volunteer-coached program designed to teach ages 3 to 9 the basic skills of flag football to children of all skill levels. The focus will be on the fundamentals of flag football, the rules and regulations of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play for all. YMCA's core values will be emphasized throughout the season. 

Games may be played at various other YMCA locations depending upon number of registrations.

Ages 3-5 will practice prior to their game to promote cognitive learning skills.

Ages 5+ will practice for one hour during the week followed by a Saturday game day.

Teams will be split up based on practice availability, teammate/coach request, skill level, and age.

Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on 9/7/2024 at the Hilltop Family YMCA Gym.

The practice location will be at the Hilltop Family YMCA sports field and the game location will be at the Virginia Wesleyan University Fields. 

Practice and Game schedules can be accessed through your Manage YMCA Account and will be finalized the week of the Meet & Greet.
