Y Recreation Volleyball is a volunteer-coached program led by Y staff designed to teach ages 9 to 18 the basic skills of volleyball to children of all skill levels. The focus will be on the fundamentals of volleyball, the rules and regulations of the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play for all. YMCA's core values will be emphasized throughout the season. All ages will practice for one hour during the week followed by a Saturday game day. Teams will be split up based on practice availability, teammate/coach request, skill level, and age. Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on 3/22/2025 at the Taylor Bend YMCA Gym.
Practices and Games will be at the Portsmouth YMCA Gym.
Practice and Game schedules can be accessed through your Manage YMCA Account and will be finalized the week of the Meet & Greet.
Closed-toed nonskid shoes, kneepads, and YMCA purchased t-shirts are required.
