YMCA Rec+ Soccer is designed for the advanced player to further develop their sports skills, sportsmanship, winning and losing, and to compete against peers. This program is tryout-based. Rec+ Soccer will stay local to the YMCA of South Hampton Roads but will play at YMCAs across our local area.

Plan to attend the Meet and Greet on 3/22/2025 at the Taylor Bend YMCA Sports Fields. Updates on practice and game locations will be reviewed.
Practice location will be at the regional practice location which can change based on the need. Games will be at all regional playing locations.
Practice and Game schedules can be accessed through your Manage YMCA Account and will be finalized the week of the Meet & Greet.
Only players who have received an acceptance notification following tryouts are eligible to register. Registration cannot be completed without the information included in the acceptance letter. Players returning from the previous season do not need a new acceptance letter unless they took a season or more off.
All head coaches are paid YMCA staff members. Coaches may collaborate and support one another throughout the season. Each season includes two practices per week and one game per week. Games will take place at various YMCA of South Hampton Roads locations.
Players must wear closed-toe shoes (soccer cleats are preferred), shin guards worn under team-issued high socks, and the full team-issued uniform.
