YMCA Rec+ sports is a competitive league designed for the advanced player to further develop sports skills, sportsmanship, winning and losing, and to compete against peers. This program is tryout-based. Rec+ sports will stay local to the YMCA of South Hampton Roads.
All Coaches are paid staff. Team coaches may support each other throughout the season. League consists of 2 practices and 1 game per week for each season.
Only players who have received an acceptance notification following tryouts are eligible to register. Registration cannot be completed without the information included in the acceptance letter. Players returning from the previous season do not need a new acceptance letter unless they took a season or more off.
All head coaches are paid YMCA staff members. Coaches may collaborate and support one another throughout the season. Each season includes two practices per week and one game per week. Games will take place at various YMCA of South Hampton Roads locations.
Players must wear closed-toe shoes and the full team-issued uniform.
