About First Camp

First Camp provides an introductory experience for our new-to-camp kiddos. First campers learn about friendship, responsibility and caring and follow a structured schedule filled with age-appropriate activities and travel as a family group with their counselors to and from all activities.

First Camp runs 9am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. Campers may be dropped off as early as 6:30am and picked up no later than 6:00pm at no additional cost.

Add transportation to your camp registration

Transportation is available from the Greenbrier Family YMCA or Great Bridge/Hickory Family YMCA in Chesapeake and YMCA on Granby in Norfolk. You can add this now or later.
