Description

The Jr. Referees program introduces teens to the role of officiating while giving them hands-on experience supporting YMCA League Games. Participants will learn how to manage a game, gain a new perspective on sports, and deepen their understanding of the rules—all while helping create a positive experience for players and families.

As part of the program, participants will attend YMCA staff training to build the skills needed to succeed on the field or court. After completing training, they will receive a YMCA Jr. Referee Certificate and begin working Saturday games alongside YMCA staff and mentors.
