Campers will learn to build and code robots using Sony KOOV, a design kit that combines digital coding with physical building to teach the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Designed for kids ages eight and up, campers will learn Scratch, an introductory programming language that controls the robots they build. And with over 23 pre-coded Robot Recipes, campers will have more than enough sensors, actuators, and electronic parts to bring blocky Minecraft-like robots to life.
Specialty camp runs 9am - 4pm, Monday through Friday with extended hours available (drop off as early as 6:30am and pick up as late as 6:00pm) at no additional cost.
Please provide a change of clothes, towel and swimsuit. We provide sunscreen and bug spray. If your child has sensitive skin you may provide your own, labeled with your child's first and last name. Please provide two snacks and lunch with a reusable water bottle for your child's use. Everything you provide for your child should have their first and last name labeled on the items. All children must wear a mask (check back closer to arriving at camp to see if this has changed).
